Learn To Be spent years proving that free, volunteer-powered 1:1 tutoring works at scale. Now, with a proprietary learning platform and AI-powered tools, we're laser focused on what matters most: getting every student reading and doing math at grade level.
Between 2021 and 2023, the Tarsadia Foundation invested $75,000 per year in Learn To Be. $225,000 total across three consecutive grants. That investment helped us prove the model: free, high-quality 1:1 tutoring can grow rapidly without sacrificing quality.

The LTB you supported in 2023 proved that volunteer-powered tutoring could scale. Since then, we've built entirely new infrastructure with a singular focus: making sure every student we serve can read and do math at grade level.
We proved that free tutoring scales, and these are the numbers to back it up. Every figure below comes from real sessions between real students and real tutors.
This is how we go from proving the model to maximizing the impact. LTB Academy is our proprietary K-8 learning platform with mastery-based progression, AI tutoring, and spaced repetition. Every course is designed to get students reading and doing math at grade level.
A majority of the students we serve come from families that simply cannot afford 1:1 tutoring. LTB transforms their academic trajectory while also giving our 16,000+ volunteer tutors a deep sense of purpose and connection. It's a model where both sides grow.
LTB has grown 52× since 2019 while keeping our cost at just $6.33 per hour of tutoring, among the lowest in the sector. Now we're on a mission to serve as many kids as possible around the US, because education is the ultimate catalyst for reaching your potential.
Tarsadia values multi-year, unrestricted partnerships, and that's exactly the kind of support that lets us invest in technology and curriculum that compounds over time rather than chasing short-term deliverables.
Tarsadia's early support helped us get here, and we're grateful for that. We're reaching more students than ever, and we now have the tools to make sure every one of them is building the foundational skills they need. If that's a mission worth continuing together, we'd love to hear from you.
